Mr. SERRANO introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary
JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.
Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:
`Article--
'The twenty-second article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed.'.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
SECTION 2.
This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.

17 bases in Afghanistan have suspended serving troops breakfast; more bases will stop on Feb. 1
Washington, D.C. – Rep. Bruce Braley (IA-01) today wrote Army Secretary John McHugh to express “growing concern” regarding Army actions that have ended service of breakfast to American troops serving at 17 US military outposts in Afghanistan.
Braley has also been informed by the Army that this policy will be expanded to more locations in Afghanistan beginning on February 1st.
“I am troubled that the Army would deny any deployed troops three meals per day, regardless of force size,” Braley wrote. “These men and women put their lives on the line every day to protect the very freedoms we cherish. The exhaustive mental and physical labor that is required by soldiers to fight in harsh and unforgiving conditions is tremendous. We shouldn’t deny our troops something as fundamental as a proper meal.
“I am positive that with the logistical mastery the Army has exhibited in combat operations around the world, you can logistically administer the procedure of serving breakfast every day.”
The issue was brought to Braley’s attention by concerned family members of Iowa soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

The following is a letter written by my Dad. He gave me permission to post it. I have added hyperlinks where I felt it appropriate. This was originally addressed specifically to Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon, but it is applicable to all elected officials of the United States of America. Dear Senator Merkley [and all elected officials],
The best and simplest measure against "gun violence," (rather than gun control, or population control, as you liberals like to disguise issues) and if you are sincere about "digging" into the issue, is just this: re-instate capital punishment laws across the nation for murder, and establish capital punishment for the crimes of child sexual abuse, rape of any person, and false witness in capital offense crimes.
Deranged persons will think twice before acting; it will certainly cut down on the incidents requiring punishment.
Democrats and liberals haven’t, and in the future, will not go for the idea; they want immunity from punishment for such crimes they commit, and to keep their voter base numbers high.
Most criminals are of the liberal persuasion, and even vice-versa. No severe consequences for real CRIME from Democrats; only ridicule and persecution heaped upon law abiding citizens. I’ve had enough of this dung!
Punish the damned criminals; not law abiding citizens!
And don't keep trying to push through legislation that re-classifies law abiding people into "criminals"!!!
Don't keep letting criminals off the hook for their crimes just because you want another damnable vote!

You don't believe in God; or if you do, you have a false concept of who and what He is. Every thing you think or do appears to be false and leads to tragedy. Wise up!
Why don’t you stand on the side of right and truth for a change. Historically, that is where the noble few are found and eventually recognized and honored for their discernment and steadfastness.
Don’t think you will find eternal comfort among the miserable souls who congregate to warm themselves in the fires of Hell.
Magnitude of numbers will not justify evil or transmute lies into truth. Misery results from what you do, and what you do makes you who you are. Not someone I trust with my liberty or my nation’s security.

I'm old and dying, but as long as I have breath I will defend the Constitution of this Choice land. Here is my letter to elected officials; I'm tired of pussy-footing with our domestic foes.
Dear Elected Official
The 2nd Amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
A Militia is: a body of citizens organized in a paramilitary group and typically regarding themselves as defenders of individual rights against the [no longer] presumed [but obvious] interference of the federal government.
Any limit or restriction is an infringement.
Therefore, Be it know unto every elected official of municipal, county, state, and federal position: if you sign your name to any illegal law, contrary to the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution that infringes the right of citizens to keep and bear Arms, you become a domestic foe and you will be arrested, tried for treason, and summarily executed by a firing squad of citizen defenders and keepers of the Constitutional law as established by our Founding Fathers who were called by Divine Providence to establish liberty in this land, never to be subverted by foes foreign or domestic.
You can easily find me, and others, if you dare! But I warn you, I'll have liberty or death and I won't be alone in either condition!

Someone once tried to explain to me why women should have the right to choose to abort their babies. In practically the same breath, he claimed his philosophy is "Live and let live."
I pointed out we share the same philosophy. Babies should be allowed to live. He shut up. For a few minutes. Then, he said, "Well, if the fetus is in the third trimester, maybe it should live, but if it's just in the first or second trimester, it doesn't matter."
At that juncture, I exercised valiant self control.
Not your body - Not your choice. Help abolish abortion and child slavery.
Even if you have no interest in owning guns, be they handguns, shotguns, assault rifles, or any other type of firearms, your right to do so is being ripped out from under you at an accelerated pace. If you have no interest in guns, you may not see the implications of this erosion of your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Beware! You should know this matter affects you directly. Gun control is a catalyst, not the root issue. People control is the real issue.
Once the people are disarmed and prohibited from arming themselves, there are no more checks and balances. It is absolute tyranny. The things you do hold dear, like your First Amendment rights, among other things, are no longer safe.
Think about why such fundamental liberties as freedom of speech and freedom of religion are included in the First Amendment. They are among the first things our nation's visionary founders thought about. These liberties are the first things identified as targets of internal tyranny. The first things needing explicit constitutional protection.
Ponder the forethought exercised by our founding fathers. Aside for the initial struggle for independence, our founders were not so worried about these fundamental freedoms being threatened from afar. They were more profoundly concerned about the internal erosion of liberty.
Our founding fathers did not flee England out of fear of attack from neighboring European countries. They were escaping domestic oppression. Their own government was their enemy. As is ours today. History repeats.
There is a reason why the right to keep and bear arms was enshrined in the Second Amendment. It was the very next thing our founders thought of. They understood the need for the common citizenry to have the freedom and the means to overthrow a sitting government by force, if necessary.
They had experienced the ordeal of securing liberty and independence by the shedding of blood. They learned from history. They learned from God. During the past few decades, as a nation, we have done neither.
The fact that we still have any semblance of sovereignty and liberty remaining in America is directly attributable to the veterans who put it all on the line, and the faithful, God-fearing citizens who pray for them. So, thank a vet, and thank a Christian.
The video titled The Sandy Hook Shooting - Fully Exposed brings up some eerie questions about what really happened and why we are not getting consistent reports about the event. I have reason to believe there was indeed a tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, but I do not believe we are getting the entire story.
Remember what the Japanese said after they struck Pearl Harbor? Well, here we are 72 years later, and Obama opens a powder keg, literally, doing the same thing the Japanese did. He is waking the Sleeping Giant.
But this time, the Giant is being awakened by attacks from the inside. Attacks on the nation's right and capacity to defend herself against all enemies, including domestic oppression and enslavement by the federal government.
The feverish executive impetus on gun control, including plans to ban assault rifles, is backfiring. Let's make sure it backfires completely.
Keep the Giant wide awake and well armed. The more Obama and his thugs try to strip us of our second amendment rights to keep and bear arms, the more we are going to arm ourselves. At least, as a nation, we are doing one thing right.
Of course, there are those out there in the media claiming that the numbers of new NRA registrations and gun sales are grossly exaggerated or outright lies.
In the very act of being stripped of our arms, we are taking up arms to defend ourselves. The recent surge in gun sales and NRA registrations says a lot more than the guns themselves. It shows true American resolve to remain a free nation. It shows the federal powers that they will have a fight on their hands, the likes of which they have not anticipated, if they continue to erode our individual freedoms.
Federal gun control enforcers, you are on notice. At least two states, Wyoming and Texas, are drawing up plans to prosecute you on felony charges and incarcerate you if you set foot within state lines and attempt to enforce federal gun control laws. Let's hope and pray that all 50 states enact such measures promptly.
Many people who would otherwise never bother to own firearms are now jumping at the opportunity to do so, while such opportunity still exists. It is much easier to retain a weapon once you have procured it than to obtain one after it has been outlawed.
But, beware. It's not that easy. Canada has already been where we are going. If Obama has his way, and our gun registrations are compiled into a national database, it will lead to confiscation of not only your guns, but also your homes and your vehicles. Think I'm paranoid? Ask a Canadian.
Obama takes it a step further by planning to enlist doctors in the fight against Americans. Perhaps we can urge doctors to arm up and carry weapons at their facilities. Patients should feel safer knowing their doctors are willing to defend them when gunmen go from our schools to our doctors' offices. Think about it. The longer lines and packed waiting rooms resulting from Obamacare make juicy soft targets for murder suicide perpetrators.
On Thursday, May 27, 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good &evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question 'Why?'
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!
Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact.
What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs, politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties.
We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him.
To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA, I give to you a sincere challenge: Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

You go to far greater lengths to conceal your own history than to reveal Bush's role in the most infamous day since Pearl Harbor 60 years prior.
You are keen on creating media distractions to divert our attention away from any information that would expose you, yet you conveniently ignore the biggest diversion available to you: getting to the bottom of the previous administration's clandestine mission to bring to pass the 9-11 catastrophe.
But wait. Of course. Uncovering the truth about 9-11 would also implicate you and your administration as well as the Clinton administration (any thoughts on the real reason you made Hilary Clinton Secretary of State), because the conspiracy reaches back decades.
Worse yet, it reaches forward decades more. And you play a key role in the entire transformation of America from a sovereign superpower to a cog in the New World Order that Bush Senior talked about. Yeah, the same NWO you and your United Nations thug buddies are bringing about. The same one world government and global domination that have been the primary objective of secret combinations since time immemorial.

travels in the stakes of Zion, my
attention has been called, on a number
of occasions, to a purported
revelation or vision or manifestation,
whatever it may be called, supposed
to have been received by
President Smith sometime in the
distant past, in regard to events of
great importance dealing with the
nations of the earth and the Latter-day
Saints. Many things in that
purported vision, or revelation, are
absurd. My attention has been called to this thing, and good brethren
and good sisters have inquired of
me to know whether or not there
was any truth in that which had
come to their attention. It is in
printed form ; and I have been under
the necessity of telling them that
there was no truth in it. Then, in
other places I have discovered that
people have copies of a purported
vision by the Prophet Joseph Smith
given in Nauvoo, and some people
are circulating this supposed vision,
or revelation, or conversation
which the prophet is reported to
have held with a number of individuals
in the city of Nauvoo. I want
to say to you, my brethren and sisters,
that if you understand the
Church articles and covenants, if
you will read the scriptures and become
familiar with those things
which are recorded in the revelations
from the Lord, it will not be
necessary for you to ask any questions
in regard to the authenticity
or otherwise of any purported revelation,
vision, or manifestation that
proceeds out of darkness, concocted
in some corner, surreptitiously presented,
and not coming through the
proper channels of the Church. Let
me add that when a revelation
comes for the guidance of this
people, you may be sure that it will
not be presented in some mysterious
manner contrary to the order of
the Church. It will go forth in such
form that the people will understand
that it comes from those who are in
authority, for it will be sent either
to the presidents of stakes and the
bishops of the wards over the signatures
of the presiding authorities,
or it will be published in some of the
regular papers or magazines under
the control and direction of the
Church or it will be presented before
such a gathering as this, at a
general conference. It will not
spring up in some distant part of
the Church and be in the hands of
some obscure individual without
authority, and thus be circulated
among the Latter-day Saints. Now,
you may remember this.
HOW THE "BLACK," "RED" AND
"WHITE HORSE" REVELATION WAS
STARTED.
The ridiculous story about the
"red horse," and "the black horse,"
and "the white horse," and a lot of
trash that has been circulated about
and printed and sent around as a great revelation given by the Prophet
Joseph Smith, is a matter that
was gotten up, I understand, some
ten years after the death of the
Prophet Joseph Smith, by two of
our brethren who put together
some broken sentences from the
Prophet that they may have heard
him utter from time to time, and
formulated this so called revelation
out of it, and it was never spoken
by the prophet in the manner in
which they have put it forth. It is
simply false; that is all there is to
it.
HOW THE STRANG REVELATION
WAS CONCOCTED.
In 1858, I had the privilege of
traveling through California with
Charles Wesley Wandell, a former
member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, and at
that time also a member of the
Church. He told me himself, in the
presence of witnesses, that he wrote
the document himself on which the
organization of J. J. Strang was
founded, and he was never so surprised
as when he found that J. J.
Strang accepted his vagaries for a
revelation from God, and he had
only laughed at it and repented of
it ever since.
HOW MEN MAY KNOW THE TRUTH.
Now, these stories of revelations
that are being circulated around are
of no consequence except for rumor
and silly talk by persons that have
no authority. The fact of the matter
is simply here and this. No man
can enter into God's rest unless he
will absorb the truth in so far that
all error, all falsehood, all misunderstandings
and mis-statements he
will be able to sift thoroughly and
dissolve, and know that it is error
and not truth. When you know
God's truth, when you enter into
God's rest, you will not be hunting
after revelations from Tom,
Dick and Harry all over the world.
You will not be following the will
of the wisps of the vagaries of men
and women who advance nonsense
and their own ideas. When yon
know the truth you will abide in the
truth, and the truth will make you
free, and it is only the truth that will
free you from the errors of men,
and from the falsehood and misrepresentations
of the evil one who
lavs in wait to deceive and to mislead
the people of God from the
paths of righteousness and truth.

This is not about party politics. It's got nothing to do with Republicans vs. Democrats. This is about Conservatives struggling to preserve your rights and your liberty against the swelling tide of Liberalism. This is about Good vs. Evil.
Step back and take a look at the big picture. Examine the small details. Notice the patterns. Learn from the scriptures. Vote and fight for truth and liberty.
Even some who present themselves as Conservatives are often knowingly or unknowingly catering to the Liberal agenda. Abolish liberalism through faith in God. It's our duty. Our enemy is everywhere. Inside jobs are more rampant and rabid than external influences. We cannot prevail without divine help.

You think the plot behind the 9-11 tragedy is not connected to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and other recent atrocities? Think again. Think bigger. Think smaller. It's all connected. One word: circumscribe. That's all I can say about it here, but some of you know exactly what I'm talking about.
At first glance, it seems like a morbid injustice to sue this guy after getting his sperm for free, and signing an agreement absolving him of any and all parental responsibilities for the child. But then, what was this guy thinking, giving sperm to a lesbian couple?
If he was unaware of the fact that the child would be born to and raised by a pair of carpet munchers, then he has no fault in the matter. But, if he was aware, then he is as much a part of this most insidious form of protracted child abuse as every gay couple out there who entertains the thought of raising a child. What's worse is the fact that most people today completely fail to see how homosexual couples raising children, even in the most affluent and gentle conditions, is child abuse.
Remember a time when verbal abuse and emotional abuse of a child or a wife were not even considered forms of abuse? We are in a time where there is not even a name for the kind of abuse that places a child in the hands of gay couples. The child will grow up in a paradigm wherein the most foul and unnatural perversion seems normal.
Remember the scene in the recent Peter Jackson movie, The Hobbit, where the Dwarfs are fighting the Orcs in the belly of the mountain, and the Dwarfs are about to be destroyed, but the wizard, Gandalf, saves the day with a blinding flash of light and a shock wave that decimates the surrounding Orcs all at once? That is symbolic of what will happen to those who advocate and sympathize with gay and lesbian marriages. There must be a special place in Hell for such couples who attempt to bring children into their unholy and filthy unions.
We abort the helpless unborn by the tens of millions, but we can't take a bat to a fag in defense of virtue.
Based on data from the Congressional Research Service, cumulative spending on means-tested federal welfare programs, if converted into cash, would equal $167.65 per day per household living below the poverty level. By comparison, the median household income in 2011 of $50,054 equals $137.13 per day. Additionally, spending on federal welfare benefits, if converted into cash payments, equals enough to provide $30.60 per hour, 40 hours per week, to each household living below poverty. The median household hourly wage is $25.03. After accounting for federal taxes, the median hourly wage drops to between $21.50 and $23.45, depending on a household’s deductions and filing status. State and local taxes further reduce the median household’s hourly earnings. By contrast, welfare benefits are not taxed.
The universe of means-tested welfare spending refers to programs that provide low-income assistance in the form of direct or indirect financial support—such as food stamps, free housing, child care, etc.—and which the recipient does not pay into (in contrast to Medicare or Social Security). For fiscal year 2011, CRS identified roughly 80 overlapping federal means-tested welfare programs that together represented the single largest budget item in 2011—more than the nation spends on Social Security, Medicare, or national defense. The total amount spent on these federal programs, when taken together with approximately $280 billion in state contributions, amounted to roughly $1 trillion. Nearly 95 percent of these costs come from four categories of spending: medical assistance, cash assistance, food assistance, and social / housing assistance. Under the President’s FY13 budget proposal, means-tested spending would increase an additional 30 percent over the next four years.
The diffuse and overlapping nature of federal welfare spending has led to some confusion regarding the scope and nature of benefits. For instance, Newark Mayor Cory Booker has recently received a great deal of attention for adopting the “food stamp challenge” in which he spends only $30 a week on food (the average individual benefit). The situation Booker presents, however, is not accurate: a low-income individual on food stamps may qualify for $25,000 in various forms of welfare support from the federal government on top of his or her existing income and resources—including access to 15 different food assistance programs. Further, even if one unrealistically assumes that no other welfare benefits are available, the size of the food stamp benefit increases as one’s income decreases, as the benefit is designed as a supplement to existing resources; it is explicitly not intended to be the sole source of funds for purchasing food.
To expand this issue to another part of the problem, consider the following example of how our children are being cleverly indoctrinated in public schools.
