To answer one reader's perfectly valid concern, please understand this:
There is nothing about the LDS Church that would cause me to mention it on a conspiracy theories and paranormal phenomenon site, but there is a lot about the world that makes it imperative that I do so.

Tribulation and Redemption in Obama's America - by David Kupelian

This article by David Kupelian at WorldNet Daily (WND) is a perfectly expressed and absolutely breathtaking perspective on our prodigal nation and the only way we can fix it. His article, dated Wednesday, December 19, 2012, should become part of the official curriculum in every American History class, and in every Bible Study class. Just read it. And share it.

Only in America - An Example of How Foreigners View America Today

Can anyone defend these observations as inaccurate?

Top Ten - Only in America - By a Canadian

1) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, had a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while only 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in America could they have had the two people most responsible for their tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in America can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just "magically' become American citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."

7) Only in America could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year for total spending of $7 million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

And Finally,

10) Only in America could the most productive people who pay 86% of all income taxes be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

Where's The Line To See Jesus - Story and Song by Steve Haupt and Chris Loesch, Performed by Becky Kelly

For booking and management: Nate 314-650-2121

The true inspiring story behind the music:

"Where's the Line to See Jesus?" While at the mall a few years ago, Becky Kelly's then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, "Where's the line to see Jesus?" Becky's sister mentioned this to her father, Steve Haupt, who immediately became inspired and jotted some words down to the song in just a few minutes.

After putting music to the words, and doing a quick home recording, he received a great response from friends. Her father asked if Becky wanted to record the song to see what could happen with it. Becky listened to the song, made a few changes and headed to Shock City Studios.

It was at the studio where Chris Loesch, owner and producer, rewrote the second verse and part of the chorus. With goosebumps and emotions high, they all felt like they had something special and recorded the demo in just under two hours.

Two weeks before Christmas last year, her cousins decided to do a quick video to see what we could accomplish on YouTube. The first day it had 3,000 hits and it soared to a million from there! Becky received e-mails, phone calls, Facebook messages from people all over over the world asking for the music, CD's, iTunes, a full version, anything... they had nothing.

After a couple of meetings with Chris following the amazing response, the team got serious. They headed back into the studio this past spring... this time with guitars, drums, bass, pianos, choirs... the real deal.... and here it is today. Getting everything set up, a website put together, and loving that thousands upon thousands of Christians have come together... remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Out of the mouths of babes come profound truths that many adults cannot understand.

Hopefully Spencer's observation will cause people all over to reflect on the love of Jesus, and that one day we will all stand in line to see Him. Becky is most thankful to our Heavenly Father to have this chance to share her music with you. Merry Christmas everyone.

Interesting facts:
A portion of the proceeds of CD sales will go to Christian Family Services in St. Louis and the good work they do finding homes for children in need.

The man playing piano in the video is Becky's father, Steve, who is also the main writer of the song and is the pianist on both recordings.

Gloria Estefan's bassist, Jorge Casas, is the bassist on this recording.

Today The World Does Not End - Decades To Go Before It Does

Parting The Veil - The Second Coming - by Jon McNaughton
Painting titled Parting The Veil (The Second Coming) by Jon McNaughton

December 21, 2012 has been touted as yet another day for the world to end. This day is peculiar because of its correlation with what many believe to be the end of the Mayan Calendar. The Mayan Calendar may not have projected any dates beyond today, but that does not mean the world will end today, or anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong. Just because we're still here is no cause to become complacent and suppose there is no end. There is. But not for several decades.

Elder Boyd K. Packer, an apostle of Jesus Christ, stated the following in a General Conference address titled Counsel to Youth, October 1, 2011:

"I speak to the youth more personally than I usually do, comparing my youth with yours... Sometimes you might be tempted to think as I did from time to time in my youth: 'The way things are going, the world’s going to be over with. The end of the world is going to come before I get to where I should be.' Not so! You can look forward to doing it right — getting married, having a family, seeing your children and grandchildren, maybe even great-grandchildren."

That single explanation by a living apostle of Jesus Christ debunks every doomsday prediction about the end of the world for at least the next two or three generations. It also suggests an approximate decade in which the Savior will return. Of course, nobody knows exactly when that day will be. Anyone who claims to know the exact date of the Second Coming of Christ, or the exact date of the end of the world, is either lying or ignorant.

To put Elder Packer's remarks in chronological perspective, note the age group to whom he was speaking. While he was speaking to young people in general, he was specifically speaking to the youth.

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the term "youth" refers to children 12 through 17 years old. Primary children are those younger than 12, and young adults are those 18 through 30 years old.

I am not going to spit out any numbers for you. You can do some math yourself.

Approximately how many years will it take for those who were 12 to 17 years old in 2011 to grow up, get married, and have children?

How many years will it take for those children to grow up, get married and have babies?

And then, how many more years until those babies grow up, get married, and begin having kids?

Jesus Christ will probably return while those kids, the great-grand children of the youth to whom Elder Packer spoke in 2011, are alive.

Read the Bible. There are many prophecies that must be fulfilled before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is synonymous with what most people consider to be the end of the world. That is to say, the return of Jesus Christ to the Earth will be the end of the wicked upon the earth for a period of a thousand years, but the earth, as a planet, will remain intact.

I believe that those who sincerely watch for the signs of the times and make an honest effort to follow Christ will feel an increasing awareness as the Second Coming approaches. If you do these things, you are among the faithful servants who will not perish when Christ comes as a thief in the night, at a time when the slothful and the unbelieving are not looking for him.

The ongoing fulfillment of prophecies, when viewed in retrospect while simultaneously looking forward with steadfastness, may make it evident when we are in the decade of Christ's return, and then when we are in the year of his return, and then the month, and finally the week of his arrival. But, even in the week of his arrival, no one will know the exact day or hour until he actually arrives.

I cannot list every prophecy yet to be fulfilled, or predict how long it will take to fulfill any particular prophecy, but I will point out that one of the things that must occur before Christ returns is the Battle of Armageddon. As of this writing, that battle has not yet commenced.

The Bible suggests that the Battle of Armageddon will last about 1,260 days, that is three and a half years. During that time, the nations of the world will besiege and do battle against the nation of Israel.

Also, during that time, two prophets will testify. After their three and a half year mission is complete, they will be slaughtered and lay dead in the streets while the wicked inhabitants of the earth celebrate their demise.

Three and a half days after their deaths, these two prophets will be resurrected in plain sight and ascend into the sky before the very eyes of their enemies. This event will be broadcast to the world. As the initial shock and fear of such an astonishing event event fade, political and media efforts will attempt to downplay the truth, explaining it away as some trick or hallucination, or some phenomenon not yet in our vernacular. Some people will repent, but most will not.

After these two prophets are resurrected, Christ himself will end the Battle of Armageddon. The nation of Israel will be on the verge of utter destruction, and Christ will stand on the Mount of Olives and cause it to split, creating a canyon into which the nation of Israel will flee. At this point, Christ will personally defeat the armies of the world and save the nation of Israel.

The citizens of Israel will meet Christ and realize who he is. They will then be given ample years to become converted to Christ and receive the fullness of his gospel. This event is not yet the Second Coming of Christ in his full glory. This is a visitation of Christ to the Jews specifically. The end is not yet.

Ezekiel 39:9-16 describes a period of seven years during which the weapons of war are burned, following the Battle of Armageddon. That seven year period includes a specific seven month period during which the majority of the dead are buried.

There are many more events than these that must transpire before Christ comes in his full glory and burns all evil from the face of the earth. But, these two events alone cover at a least decade that has yet to come and go.

The best strategy is to prepare and live each day as if it is the day you will stand before Christ. Then, it does not matter so much when he comes, or when the end of the world as we know it happens. You will be okay.

Eleven Days Before Christmas - Author Unknown

Jesus Christ Second Coming

'Twas 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38

when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.

their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.

they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.

they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.

they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.

"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.

"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."

when what to their wondering eyes did appear,

but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.

He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.

then He opened His arms and He called them by name.

and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring

those children all flew into the arms of their King

and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,

one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.

and as if He could read all the questions she had

He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."

then He looked down on earth, the world far below

He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe

then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,

"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"

"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"

"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"

then He and the children stood up without a sound.

"come now my children, let me show you around."

excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.

all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.

and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,

"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

"Record Number of Suicides Here Last Year" Article by Joanne Kimberlin for The Virginian-Pilot, January 8, 2012

Fished from a sea of divorce files at the Virginia Beach courthouse, Case No. CL11-3455 contains the usual affidavits and orders, the meltdown of a marriage chronicled in cold legalese.

Only hindsight makes this folder more haunting - that, and a single sheet of paper now resting atop the stack of documents.

Filed Nov. 18, 2011, it notifies the court that Deborah and Robert Wigg will not be pursuing their divorce. Both parties, it explains, are "now deceased."

There is no hint of the shocking violence behind that statement.

Not a glimmer of the rage and terror that enveloped the last moments of their relationship.

And no clue that Debbie and Rob were part of a record cluster of murder-suicides.

Eight times last year in South Hampton Roads, a man used a gun or a knife or his bare hands to kill a woman he once loved - and then he killed himself.

Half of all marriages end in divorce.

Why do some end in two funerals as well?

The brick rancher sits on a quiet street in Suffolk, a modest house in a modest neighborhood with basketball hoops, neat shrubs and folks who wave to each other.

Grove Avenue seems an unlikely place for murder-suicide, an act that turns children into orphans, devastates at least two families, and speaks to our darkest fears.

Debbie Wigg moved there in hopes of finding refuge. Her roots were in small-town Suffolk - her childhood and her parents. College took her to Norfolk.

Smart, pretty and petite - 5-foot-1 and barely 100 pounds - she enrolled at Old Dominion University, became a cheerleader and met Rob. He was athletic, intelligent and outgoing. They married in 1995.

For 15 years, Debbie and Rob seemed to live the American Dream. She found a good job as an accountant in Norfolk. He went to work at Southeastern Elementary in Chesapeake, where he taught fifth grade for four years.

When Debbie became pregnant with their first son, Rob left teaching and launched a lucrative business, buying and installing ATMs in convenience stores. They bought a big house with a pool in Chesopeian Colony, a high-end neighborhood in Virginia Beach. They threw block parties and entertained friends. Debbie gave birth to another son.

One year ago, their marriage collapsed. Debbie filed for divorce in February, saying her husband had become someone she couldn't live with. According to her complaint, Rob had started using drugs - cocaine and crack - and admitted he'd been unfaithful. Some evenings he didn't come home, and when he did, he was wrung-out and aggressive, badgering her until the wee hours of the morning.

Debbie moved out, retreating to Suffolk, where she and her boys holed up in her late grandmother's house on Grove Avenue, just half a mile from her parents' place. As the divorce trudged on, the bitterness escalated.

Rob accused Debbie of trying to keep him from his sons and ruin him financially. Debbie accused Rob of being an unfit husband and father.

Tensions exploded in April. Debbie said Rob attacked her while she was picking up the boys at his house, slamming a door on her head, pulling her hair and knocking her to the ground.

When their oldest son, a 10-year-old, called 911, Rob yanked the phone cord out of the wall. Debbie escaped the house and flagged down police.

Chesopeian Colony isn't accustomed to flashing blue lights. Neighbors watched as Rob was taken away in handcuffs.

"I am in fear for mine and my children's safety and welfare," Debbie wrote in her complaint. "My husband does own a handgun..."

Debbie was granted a protective order, a legal document instructing her husband to stay away from her.

Rob was charged with assault, but with no criminal record to hold him, he was released from jail that night.

His 9 mm pistol, carried for protection as he serviced his ATMs, was left in his hands.

No one tracks the country's murder-suicides. In the few reports that do exist, Virginia is often mentioned - not for our private tragedies but for our most public one: the 2007 Virginia Tech shootings, a massacre that, in the end, was murder-suicide.

Most are family affairs, a toll told in smaller headlines on inside pages: "Two found dead in home."

The Violence Policy Center in Washington scours the Internet for those news clips, and estimates that 1,000 to 1,500 people die that way in the nation every year.

Weighed against regular homicides (about 18,000 annually) or even traffic fatalities (30,000), the body count for murder-suicide is relatively small. Yet we'd be hard-pressed to name a death that's more deeply disturbing.

"The family unit is regarded as a crucible of peace and love, not violence," said Jack Levin, a Northeastern University professor who's considered an authority on murder-suicide. When one occurs, he said we all feel unsafe, wondering "who could be next?"

Virginia is one of the few states that keep murder-suicide statistics, as part of its participation in the National Violent Death Reporting System, a project of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to a decade's worth of data collected by the state medical examiner, Virginia averages around 18 a year. In the Tidewater District, an area far larger than just South Hampton Roads, the average is less than three.

But in 2011, South Hampton Roads alone had eight, the most ever recorded.

There is no simple explanation for the spike, particularly since crime overall is down. Some blame the economy; unemployment and foreclosure can tip the already-troubled over the edge. In a recent CDC survey of 9,000 women, one-in-four said they'd been attacked by husbands or boyfriends.

Men are almost always the perpetrator of murder-suicide, especially the kind that claims intimate partners.

"Then again, murder in general is a masculine pursuit," Levin said. "Ninety-one percent are committed by men."

Women who do commit murder-suicide tend to kill their children, but not their husbands or boyfriends. Men might target the children as well, but the woman is almost always among the victims.

The phenomenon knows no bounds. It strikes in gabled homes, middle-class suburbia, rusty trailers. And while the lack of survivors can make it tough to piece the story together, motives often fit distinct categories.

Florida, with its large elderly population, has more of what experts call "altruistic" murder-suicides: an aging husband who can no longer care for his feeble wife decides to take their fates into his own hands.

A sense of love, although twisted, can also fuel the "family annihilator" syndrome: a psychotic father who really believes his family is better off dead.

The most common pattern, however, is defined by rage, revenge and obsession, and divorce is often the catalyst. Killers tend to be possessive, domineering, lonely, paranoid and depressed. And when the woman makes a break, she's viewed as the source of all his pain.

"Control is a big thing here," Levin said. "He's lost it, and this is his way of getting it back."

Neighbors don't want their names used in this story, and the families can hardly bring themselves to talk about what happened.

A call to the Virginia Beach home of one of Rob's relatives was answered by a man who explained it this way: "We just want to go on with our lives and try to be at peace with it."

From his home in Florida, Debbie's brother, Wade Brown, acted as her family's spokesman: "On behalf of my Mom and Dad, I can tell you it's... so terrible, you can't even imagine it."

The only good that can come from reliving it, Wade deduced, is that a stranger might be spared: "If you see a woman going through this, don't dismiss it. Be aware. You think this kind of thing only happens to other families."

Wade knew his sister's marriage was in trouble, but he never thought she was in danger.

"We were all surprised," he said. "I mean, I had known Rob for 15 years."

In Chesopeian Colony, residents were stunned as well.

"I think Rob was hanging out with a rough crowd," said a neighbor who lives near his house, "but he was not an evil person. He was friendly. He was involved in the community. When Debbie and the kids still lived here, he used to wait at the school bus stop for his son every day."

Brandon Ziegler, Rob's divorce attorney, would only say a few words about his former client: "Obviously, he was the person who did this, but that's not who he was."

George Christie, Debbie's attorney, saw a darker side of Rob.

"On a number of occasions, he made veiled threats as we were leaving the courtroom," Christie said.

As pressure mounted to divide assets, Rob unraveled.

He fell behind in his mortgage payments and child support. He didn't show up for a hearing on his assault charge.

At one point, he told the court he was working for the FBI. When word surfaced that his drug use had led to an armed robbery at his house, the judge cut off Rob's visits with his children and ordered him to enter rehab.

"There were times when Debbie could have put him in jail, but she didn't," Christie said. "We decided that would only further enrage him."

In an attempt to convince the court he was stable, Rob had himself evaluated by "a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate degree," Christie said.

The conclusion:

"He didn't think Rob was a threat," Christie said. "Now if a guy like that can't tell - if he can't see it - how in the heck are you and I supposed to?"

Suffolk was shrouded in fog on Nov. 8, 2011, the night Rob drove his red pickup to Grove Avenue.

Debbie heard him banging on her door around 11 p.m. In a panic, she called her parents. They told her to dial 911, then hurried to their car to race over.

Suffolk police refuse to release the tape of Debbie's 911 call. According to reports, she was on the line with a dispatcher when Rob kicked in the door. A "loud struggle" was heard before the phone went dead.

That's when Brandon, a 19-year-old neighbor who doesn't want his last name used, pulled into his driveway, accompanied by his twin brother and a friend.

"We heard her screaming," Brandon said. "She hadn't been living here long, and she mostly kept to herself. But I knew her story, what she was going through. She'd told me to call police if I ever heard anything over there."

But it was too late.

"She came running out of the house, and he shot her in the back," Brandon said. "I pulled out my knife - it was all I had - and me and my brother ran over there. She was down, and my brother tried to cover her, tried to crouch down behind her to shield her.

"I got as close as about 10 yards to him - I was gonna gut him - but he shot at me. A 9 mm with a silver slide and black handle.

"Bullets went right by my head. Then he went back over to her and shot her a second time. He said, 'She'd better be (expletive) dead.' And then he left."

Brandon said his mother tried to give Debbie CPR, "but she died, right there in our yard. I couldn't sleep for days after that."

After Rob left Debbie's, he drove to her parents' house. It's likely he crossed paths with them as they sped toward Grove Avenue. Christie believes that Rob intended to kill them, as well.

"But when he got there and they were gone," Christie said, "he decided to take his own life."

Police and Debbie's parents converged at her house at about the same time. Her 4-year-old son was asleep in bed. The 10-year-old was hiding in a closet.

Debbie is the second client Christie has lost to murder-suicide.

"She did everything she was supposed to do," he said. "She had a protective order. What else can you do?"

Violating a protective order is a crime, but "if someone is willing to die," Wade said, "they'll walk right through it."

At the prosecutor's office in Suffolk, Shavaughn Banks has been handling domestic-violence cases for eight years.

"It's heartbreaking," she said. "Horrifying. What could Deborah have done? Short of shooting back at him, nothing."

Paul Speece doesn't believe that was a realistic option. Speece is a partner at McPhillips, Roberts & Deans, the downtown accounting firm where Debbie worked for 15 years.

He's also the president of Samaritan House, a Virginia Beach shelter with a focus on domestic violence.

And, as improbable as it seems, he has been through this before: His own brother committed murder-suicide six years ago in Cincinnati, despite Speece's efforts to protect his sister-in-law.

"We brought her down here to get her away from him," he said. "When she went back, he was stalking the house waiting for her."

Should Debbie have gotten a gun? Would it have done any good?

"I guess that depends on whether you can bring yourself to pull the trigger," Speece said. "That's the father of your children, and the children are in the house. By the time you're sure he intends to kill you, it's probably too late."

Debbie, he said, "was a very sweet girl. There wasn't a mean bone in her body."

Speece said he tried to warn her.

"I sat her down and told her point-blank, 'I see a lot of the same patterns in Rob that I saw in my brother.' I offered up Samaritan House. Had she wanted to, we could have made her disappear."

He thinks the system should do more to protect women like Debbie.

"Rob should have been arrested when he missed his hearing on the assault charge. And someone should have confiscated his gun. Sure, he could have gotten another one, but let's at least make it harder."

The Violence Policy Center is pushing for a national surveillance system that would keep an eye on murder-suicide trends and collect details from each case. Right now, says Northeastern's Levin, psychologists and criminologists are at a loss.

"People do drugs, people endure nasty divorces every day, but they still don't hurt anyone," he said. "We're really not yet in a position to predict this hideous crime."

He advises women to look for red flags early on.

"In the dating process, a man who's jealous and possessive may seem cute - even flattering to a woman. But that's behavior that can transform into something extremely dangerous."

Wade, Debbie's brother, said 600 people attended her funeral in Suffolk. No obituary could be found for Rob. Their boys are being cared for by Debbie's parents. McPhillips, Roberts & Deans is collecting donations for their future expenses.

Wade said the older boy is in counseling: "He's aware of what happened, but he doesn't really understand it yet. And I know it could have been worse. Rob could have killed the entire family, including my parents. I'm just grateful that my Mom and Dad have a strong church family. I don't know how anybody who doesn't have faith gets through something like this. It's incredible, the trickle effect one person's ex can have on so many. And it will go on for a lifetime."

Speece is still haunted by his brother's crime.

"I feel for Rob's family," he said. "They will feel some guilt, like I do... a sense of failure. Everyone walks away from this with that."

Murder Suicides are Human Sacrifices and Child Sacrifices On The Rise Under Obama Tyranny

gun control laws leave the bad guys with guns and the good guys with scum

Social engineering, and its broader cousin, cultural engineering have reached a fever pitch during this last dispensation, that is since 1820. You probably can't get a degree in either of these fields, but trust me, there are post-doctorate minds making lifelong careers out of them. These are lucrative occupations featuring virtually unlimited perks. Untold wealth and power and sensual incentives abound. You can't major in these fields. You're not supposed to know about them. But, now you do.

According to at least one article, few states track murder suicide statistics. However, it seems to me that there have been more incidents of such tragedies in the past four years than there have been in any previous four-year period.

Correlate that with the damage Obama has already done to America. Obama is a known murderer, but this recent surge of murder-suicides, including the horrific act of terror in Newtown, Connecticut has got to make people ask some questions beyond the local level.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the uncanny reluctance of the media to call the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting a murder suicide? It may be the worst such event on U.S. soil, yet when I Google search keywords murder suicide, this particular tragedy does not show up. A lot of other cases, including recent ones, do show up. If I search keywords Newton Connecticut, it does show up, so don't tell me it takes days or weeks for search engines to post updates.

These heart-wrenching atrocities are part of Obama's war against America. Do not believe for one second that there is any sincerity in his statement that "We can't tolerate this anymore." As if we could tolerate it before. Those ugly, pursed lips conceal a flood of lies.

The Sandy Hook shooter was groomed for his depraved, psychotic act, either directly or indirectly. The more often these events occur around the world, not just in America, the more leverage Obama and his United Nations league of dictators have to impose gun control and strip you of your Second Amendment right to bear arms.

Obama does not want you to be in any position to prevent these unspeakable travesties. He wants more of them, and he wants to be sure you cannot step up and intervene. If teachers had been armed and trained to shoot well, they might have been able to take down the perpetrator immediately and save over two dozen lives. Better yet, the mere idea that the school staff is armed might deter such an incident from the start.

So, Mr. Obama, you say we can do better. Let's start by arming, training, and deputizing teachers and staff at each and every school in America. You are going the opposite direction. You want to disarm us at every level and placate us with vain and foolish promises that we all know you cannot and will not honor.

There is a bigger problem here, and it is far more sinister than any of us want to consider. But consider it we must, because historical precedent exists upon this very land, and we have been warned prophetically. We have not heeded the warnings. We ask, "How can this happen here?" But it has already happened here before, and we have not learned a thing. Worse things will happen again, and you or your kids or your grand-kids will be alive to witness them first hand.

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and other murder suicides involving children, particularly those done in public settings, are more than social engineering data points. They are human sacrifices. Not just human sacrifices, but child sacrifices offered to seal oaths made to Satan. Oaths Obama and others in high positions are fueling to gain and maintain power.

Men like Obama are dogs, devoid of virtue, imagining only evil continually, but appearing poised and charismatic in front of the cameras. Even Satan himself can appear as an angel of light, so it is no stretch of the mind to understand that an evil politician can appear to be a concerned and empathetic altruist.

As God is accelerating His holy work in these latter days, Satan is intensifying his own unholy work. If this is not obvious yet, it will be, soon.

In today's world of unchecked liberal politics and abominable new norms, it is no longer necessary to hide child sacrifices behind the cloak of night in remote, cult rituals, carried out by obscure religious fanatics. Now, the perfect cover for child sacrifices is to perform them in public, in broad daylight, carried out by anyone who can be groomed for the task. The person being groomed for the crime may not even realize he is being manipulated. Likely, he would be in denial if ever he were confronted before carrying out the sinister agenda.

These child sacrifices are staged as random mass killings, throwing in a few token adult victims here and there, just to make things less obvious. Then, with well orchestrated timing, the media is unleashed to distract the shocked and grieving audiences away from the obscure and frightening truth. No one is the wiser.

The publicity itself is the cover story. Another mass killing ending in suicide. Ever wonder why all these killings end in suicide? Somebody does not want the perpetrator falling into the hands of psychiatrists and clergymen who might begin to observe and document deeper, cleverly obscured patterns of influences to which the perpetrator had been subjected.

Sure, you get the stuff intended for you, like the lists of websites and chat transcripts and Facebook posts and such, all indicating troubled youth and questionable connections that conveniently go unnoticed until the horrid climax has passed. But, you never get to the root of the matter. That might disclose subtle, or not so subtle details somebody does not want you to know. Secret works of darkness are concealed at all cost. The local perpetrators are expendable assets to someone in a position of power.

The fact that many, if not all murder suicides involving minors, particularly children under the age of eight, are child sacrifices is hidden behind media coverage of the grieving communities and the political expressions of consolation and the broken pledges to bring justice and stop the violence.

We cry and grieve and bemoan our lost loved ones. But we, as a people, fail to repent and turn to God. We pander to the indescribable filth of homosexual behavior that infects our society. We float aloof of the swelling tide of abortion that stunts our population. We vote away the inheritance of our children and our grandchildren to the third and fourth generation so that we, today might ensure the government takes care of our poor so we don't have to. We elect leaders who mortgage the livelihoods of our children's children, but as long as we can keep our Medicaid and our Medicare, we don't care!

We balk at the thought of paying tithing to a church, summarily dismissing the promised blessings, many of which are tangible and immediate, yet we covet that so called affordable health care so much that we pledge the sure-to-be-meager incomes of our future offspring to purchase it for us, because we ourselves cannot hope to afford it. Our land is covered with vices, and few there be who seek virtue.

Even some of our clergymen, who of all people should know better, support politicians, legislators, and judges who defile the sanctity of life and marriage, the two fundamental virtues of humanity. But we rationalize, fooling ourselves into thinking it's okay, because the intent of our hearts is good.

While God does indeed judge us based on the intents of our hearts in addition to our acts, we must bear in mind that Lot's wife surely had good intentions when she turned back toward Sodom and Gomorrah and was reduced to salt in a flash. It has been said that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

The foolish and the blinded suppose that Obama is helping the poor. Those who subscribe to such lies, in spite of all their faith and wholesome intentions, are willfully stupid in this. They do not know that they do not know the eternal ramifications of their vote.

The myopic notion that Obama helps poor people seems to outweigh the fact that he deliberately creates more poverty, dismantles liberty, promotes the redefining of marriage, and funds infanticide with your tax dollars in the name of planned parenthood and women's health. You cannot educate these people. They are unwilling to hear you. Yet, they will urge you to look at their views with an open mind. Or, they will simply consider you to be a racist and a bigot and unchristian-like, uncharitable, and mean-spirited. They may not say it to your face, but they are definitely thinking it, and they are probably saying it behind your back. They have already chosen their messiah.

I have heard people say they were voting for Obama because Mitt Romney had offended them. So it really is about me, me, me. Romney offended me, so I'll vote for Obama. After all, Obama caters to everyone's welfare, and Romney is only interested in America's well being. These same people say Obama is not promoting socialism or communism, and they say Obama's plans are not evil. They say the sun is shining as they bask in the dimming glow of a darkening moon. They call evil good and good evil. Isaiah had something to say about that.

White folks are the cause of most of the problems in America, after all, so let's elect a black guy, never mind the fact that he is a malignant narcissist, hell bent on a personal power grab, and by his own admission has never in his life chosen to surround himself with people of integrity. We want to be able to tell our kids we elected and reelected the first black president, and they will be so proud of us for putting our right to vote to such historic use. They won't even notice how bad they have it, because by the time they are teenagers, their new norm will be Obama without term limits, Obama this, Obama that.

Before your kids are grown, over two thirds of all Americans will be receiving some sort of unearned government payout and will be living below poverty level, thinking their dismal quality of life is normal and that there is nothing they can do about it. But don't worry, your secret is safe. Your kids won't find out there was something you could have done about it but didn't.

Failing entities, particularly big financial institutions and union run industries, will continue to receive government bailouts at your expense. By the way, military retirees and disabled workers who put their honest best into their work may still be receiving government money, but they earned every penny of it. They stuck it out and did not give up, so don't even try comparing them with the manipulative, deadbeat leeches that perpetually suck the life out of our country. Someday soon, the idle will no longer eat the bread of the laborer.

It is more difficult than ever to become and remain self reliant, let alone abundantly prosperous. Have not our treasures become slippery? Do not our investments and retirement funds slip away from us, and the savings and storage we have hidden away for a rainy day become difficult to retain? Do not our weapons of self defense become costly and complicated to retain amid stifling legalities and registration fees and ammunition expenses? Do not our very houses and personal vehicles get torn from us by entities over which we have no immediate control? Do not our jobs disappear and the costs of education and the necessities of life increase while the quality thereof plummets?

And we still indulge our vices, our mind altering substances, our pornography, our lascivious urges, our thirst for gambling, or whatever else constitutes those flaxen cords with which we have allowed ourselves to be bound. We wail and writhe in anguish of soul, yet we do not repent.

"God? Who needs him?" say so many liberals. We can solve every problem and pacify every demand, satisfy every need, and bring about world peace through pacifist liberal politics. And if that doesn't work, we'll just let our world elites, all of whom are liberal, by the way, snuff out 90 percent of the planet's human population so at least those pillars of the human race can dwell in abundance and carry on the human legacy. We can roll over and die knowing we contributed to their greater cause. We can do all this ourselves, so we don't need God, we say. Or we admit we do need God, and then we vote for the likes of Obama. In other words, we vote for Satan.

But I digress.

Sorcery and witchcraft and spells and satanic oaths are not merely fodder for fantasy games and horror movies. They are real. They are not limited to the dark ages. They are more rampant in high places and in the well settled circles of society today than ever before.

Every nation on the earth has secret combinations operating at some level. There is probably more of that here in America than anywhere else. Why? Because America is the bastion of individual liberty and freedom on planet Earth.

After the year AD 421, there has never existed on this earth a system of government established by God, until our Founding Fathers acted on divine inspiration and drafted the Constitution of the United States of America. That makes America Satan's primary target. Only one nation on this planet has ever been greater than the United States, and that nation fell because of the same secret combinations and dark oaths in practice on our soil today. That should scare you.

The Apostle John saw visions of our day and our future. One of the things he specifically mentioned in the New Testament Book of Revelation is sorcery. Many prophetic warnings against sorcery and witchcraft and related abominations are directed at us. God will utterly abolish idolatry and put a swift end to witchcraft and everything like it.

Prophets would not have bothered to warn us against something that would not be in operation among us in our day. If such practices were merely medieval folly to be long abandoned as we entered our so called enlightened modern age of technology, then there would be no need for prophetic warnings directed at us. The very fact that such warnings do exist says plenty.

Sadly, the very people who need to read this the most are liberals, and there is probably not a one of them who will take the time to read this and actually take it seriously. The day of "I told you so" is nigh at hand.

Allow me to conclude with one piercing warning directed at us today, and more specifically directed at liberal voters who, by their votes and their influences, have built up the very combination spoken of in this warning. The following warning was written for us by the ancient American prophet, Moroni, around AD 420, while making reference to those who built up the secret combination that caused the the fall of the Jaredite nation, the greatest nation ever to possess this land. The relevance is uncanny and undeniable.

Can you not see the clear reference to a one world government? Can you not see that the liberal leftists of our day are the primary supporters of the very combination that seeks to supplant America and establish a New World Order? Now you know. Children are being sacrificed in more ways than one to make this happen.

Ether 8:24-25 (italics added)

"Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up. For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies..."

Media Twist

I just received this story in an email. I don't know who wrote it, and I don't know if it is true or not, but even if it is nothing more than a clever urban legend, it makes a valid point:

"A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?'

The biker replies, I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

...and THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days..."

Remember Pearl Harbor and think about this - We Have Lived in The Best of Times (author unknown)

The following was forwarded to me in an email. I took the liberty of adding hyperlinks to emphasize the insightful and uncanny accuracy of the author's perspective. I do not know who the original author is, but whoever wrote this echoes my sentiments with perfect clarity. I could not have said it any better. Please share this with every American.

We Have Lived in the Best of Times:
I thought for sure that given such a clear choice, Americans would vote for love of country over revenge.

I was wrong.

I thought, that just as every presidential election in my lifetime, the bad economy would be hung around the incumbent's neck, sinking him.

I was wrong.

I thought that even those few Americans who were fortunate enough to still be fully employed (not counting those leeching off the public system) would be cognizant of how much pain their neighbors were in and elect someone who would at least try to make improvements.

I was wrong.

I thought that now that FINALLY some of the disturbing truths about our first black president had come to light, voters would reject a man so dangerously at odds with the American experience.

I was wrong.

I thought the 2010 elections and the Tea Party meant something.

I was wrong.

I thought the enthusiasm on display at Romney/Ryan events, contrasted with the lack of same at Obama/Biden events meant something.

I was wrong.

I thought Americans would never sell their liberty for the sake of trinkets like cell phones or even big shiny lies like 'free health care'.

I was wrong.

Never in a million years would I have supposed that America would support a president who left his (our) people to die at the hands of our enemies overseas without lifting a hand to help, then lie about what he watched in real time for over two weeks, then lie about the lie for another month.

I was wrong.

I thought Americans could tell a hawk from a handsaw.

I was wrong.

We were offered the clearest choice we've had since 1980, where we had malaise and a misery index on one hand and a shining city on a hill on the other. Back then, we chose the city on the hill. This time the choice was between a man who says 7.9% unemployment and $4.00 gas is the new normal and a guy whose entire career has been about fixing broken entities.

We chose to stay broken. And Broke.

Maybe, I'm wrong about the ramifications of this choice. Maybe, windmills will actually turn out to be a viable energy source. Maybe, America diminished will be loved overseas. Maybe, a nuclear Iran won't be a threat. Maybe, Israel is over reacting. Maybe, western civilization was always over rated. Maybe, life under sharia is fun. Maybe, when the rest of the world realizes that we have no intention of ever paying back that $16,000,000,000,000.00 (and counting) that we've borrowed from them, they won't devalue the dollar, causing hyper inflation here at home. Maybe, China will just keep on giving us money and not demand our hearts, souls, national monuments and marriageable daughters as payment.

I've watched my candidates lose elections before, but I've never felt the way I did November 06, 2012 when this one was called for Obama.

It wasn't bitterness or sadness or even disappointment. It took me a while to figure out what it was. Then it hit me; it was horror!!

Pure, unadulterated horror!

Not because of Obama, but because of what it says about us, the American people, that we chose this.

It shouldn't have even been close. Faced with the choice between taking charge of our destiny and tackling our financial problems, we opted to get high and have sex. We re-elected a guy who doesn't understand that a growing economy that creates more tax payers will bring in more revenue than higher taxes. A Commander in Chief who doesn't know our military still uses bayonets. A man who wants to control the economy without even knowing the difference between bankruptcy and liquidation. It was one thing to elect an unknown quantity, buying his line of 'Hope and Change'. It's something else to deliberately choose his failed policies over someone who has actually achieved success in life. I never dreamed America would do that.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, Hello Idiocracy!

Goodbye, recovery.

Goodbye, energy independence.

Goodbye, religious liberty.

Goodbye, liberty and justice for all.

Goodbye, American dream.

It profits a man nothing to lose his soul for the whole world, but we threw ours away for cell phones and birth control pills.

In the twentieth century (the American Century), we stepped up to the plate three times and saved the rest of the world from fascism, nazism and communism. We were the cavalry, always riding to the rescue.

Now, we've gotten rid of our horses, spent all our money on windmills, alienated our allies, bowed to our enemies, cut ourselves off from our own natural resources thrown away our children's birthright and spent their inheritance.

And, we did it on purpose.

When the wolf is at the door (and he's coming, yelling 'Allahu Akbar') we're going to find out that there is no one out there to come to our rescue.

On the bright side maybe, it'll all turn out great?

After all, I don't know anything!

The words of Martin Niemoller, German evangelical church during Nazi regime: "They came first for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Sharia Law Creeps Into American Courts and Children Suffer

We hear about a mere fraction of the abuse occurring in homes across America. For every case that comes forward, there are hundreds more that escape public scrutiny and legal justice.

Abuses occur under the guise of every religion and belief system. However, one religion in particular appears to be let off the hook way to easily when evidence of abuse surfaces. I don't have to tell you which religion that is, but I'll give you a hint anyway. It's the one creeping into our legal system, our education system, and our federal government, abusing our first amendment rights and wrapping itself in the cozy blanket of our obsession with political correctness.

We should not be surprised. Wherever Christianity is systematically removed, something else will fill the resulting void. Don't even try to pretend this has nothing to do with the consequences of our past two presidential elections.

The following article by John DeMayo, November 14, 2012 in the Last Resistance, titled Islamic Child Abuse gets you Probation in Arizona, is just one example.

Apparently torturing your offspring is no longer a violent offense in Phoenix, Arizona. Last week an Arizona Superior Court Judge awarded (and I mean awarded) probation to a Muslim family who admitted to kidnapping, beating and trying to kill their nineteen-year-old daughter. Islamists rejoice! “Honor violence” is now officially sanctioned as part of the American culture.

According to Maricopa County Prosecutors, in February 2012, Aiya Altameemi, a nineteen-year-old Muslim female was beaten, tied to her bed, burned with a hot spoon, stabbed in the neck and locked in her room by her family for her unwillingness to accept an arranged marriage to a 38-year-old Muslim man and speaking to a male classmate in public.

As is reported, Miss Altameemi injuries required medical attention and she was taken to a local hospital by her mother for treatment. The hospital staff became suspicious of the injuries (especially the 1 ½ inch stab wound to Aiya’s neck) and began asking the nineteen-year-old questions about her wounds. During her questioning Aiya explained that her family became angry with her for talking to a boy at school. Apparently in Aiya’s family, it wasn’t appropriate for a young Muslim virgin to be seen talking with a High School boys. Later the victim identified her mother, father and sister (as her attackers) and police were notified and arrests were made.

Last week, during a sentencing hearing Aiya’s father admitted to attempting to kill his daughter by cutting her neck. Mohammed Altameemi, 46, received two years’ probation for disorderly conduct. Altameeni’s wife, Yursah Farhan, 51, was sentenced to two years’ probation for unlawful imprisonment of her daughter and the victim’s sister Tabarack Altameemi , 18, pled guilty to assault and received two years’ probation (she broke a glass over her sister head during the attack).

Some reports suggest that the victim has recanted her story. Heck, if I was Aiya, I might have a little victim’s remorse too if I knew that I had to eventually go home to a family that might slit my throat while I slept. Wouldn’t you? Advocates for the Altameemi Family are now blaming overzealous prosecutors and law enforcement for an innocent domestic situation being blown out of proportion.

Where are Family and Protective Services when you need them? Where are the loud and proud feminist voices of MSNBC? Why aren’t sexual rights advocates and the National Organization for Woman protesting outside this Arizona Courthouse?

I have written a number of articles suggesting that “Sharia law” is creeping into every area of our society. Last week’s ruling by a left wing Democrat, Judge Joseph Kreamer (a 2007 Janet Napolitano appointee) further emphasizes the growing threat of Islamic (Sharia) law and its influence in U.S. Courts. Readers may want to ask themselves how U.S. criminal courts (and liberal media) would have treated this crime if the victim were a homosexual son of a Christian family. Or better yet, what would the charges have been if the victim was the young boy Aiya was seen innocently talking too after school? This is not Kabul or Tehran; this is the United States of America. First Amendment rights have never provided for the freedom to brutalize another citizen over perceived religious transgressions. Constitutional freedoms definitely don’t provide you with the religious freedom to attempt to murder someone who offends you. Or do they? Personally, I’m wondering if Aiya’s family may have been guilty of a federal hate crime or civil rights violation and walked away with probation. What say you Mr. Holder?

Perhaps we should consider using a new litmus test before we decide to appoint (or for that matter elect) our judiciary. Along with a respect for the unborn, it might be prudent to ask a prospective Judge their views on Islamic law and its relevance to Judeo Christian legal philosophy in American courts; after all we may see more than one Sharia sensitive judge appointed to our Supreme Court in the next four years.

Public education, banking, civil and criminal legal precedent, and U.S. governing agendas are being shaped by agents of Islam every day in America. If you think liberalism is destructive, wait until you find yourself in Aiya’s predicament. Last week in Arizona a frightening message was sent loud and clear by a liberal Superior Court Judge named Joseph Kreamer. Holding a knife to your child’s neck and beating her into submission is no longer attempted murder and felony assault if you follow the teachings of Mohammed and Islam. Heck it’s not even domestic violence.

Insightful view of the tragic 2012 presidential election and the building up of the political kingdom of God

I cannot take credit for composing this beautiful and thoughtful observation, but I am happy to re-post it here for everyone to ponder. It was forwarded to me via email from a Church friend. It echoes many of my own thoughts and teaches me things I had not considered. It offers what I consider to be an inspired perspective on how the tragic 2012 election fits into the near term growth of the Church and the long term building up of the political kingdom of God. I am happy to learn I am not alone in my thinking. This is the entire message I received. I took the liberty of adding hyperlinks where appropriate:

It is Election Night 2012, and I'm sitting here at my computer listening to Governor Romney's concession speech, trying to come to grips with his defeat - our defeat. And into my mind comes three interesting thoughts. The first comes with a scripture:

"Behold, I will hasten my work in its time." (D&C 88:73)

If the Lord's "work" is to "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39), and if that process begins by hearing about the Church and seeing its members, then the sooner and the faster the greatest number of people can see and hear about the Latter-day Saints - especially about exemplary Saints like the Romneys - the more the work is hastened. And though the Church has 55,000+ missionaries who are quietly and patiently roaming the world knocking on doors, the Lord has brought the LDS Governor and his LDS family into the very homes of millions of people around the U.S. and the world via TV, radio, and Internet for more than a year now- people who might never have received or accepted the missionaries or LDS neighbors, let alone have learned about the LDS way of life. But now they have listened, watched, and learned, and many of them will likely be more curious and receptive to the missionaries in the future. And that also goes for many of the Evangelicals, Protestants, and Catholics who locked arms with the Latter-Day Saints (thanks to Glenn Beck) during this long presidential campaign. Bottom line: the Romneys lost a hard-fought political battle, but they - and the Church - won a decisive, long-awaited cultural and spiritual victory in opening the minds and hearts of millions.

Another post-election thought: "Be careful what you pray for."

Had Romney won, it is highly doubtful that he and his team would have been able to rescue the nation's wounded economy from the purposeful destruction that Obama has intentionally inflicted upon it, Obama having done so in order to "fundamentally transform" our free enterprise system into a Socialist state. Had Romney won, the only possible way to have saved the nation and its economy would have been to make deep cuts in the welfare and entitlement programs - cuts that would have been branded "murderous, discriminatory and racist" at every turn by the Liberal mainstream media. And the ever-increasing drumbeat of these accusations over the next four years would have given license to thousands - perhaps millions - of malcontents to take to the streets in "civil unrest" (aka anarchy). As such, Romney's never-ending vilification in print and in the electronic media would have soon painted him - and his fellow Mormons - as the enemies of America, with all the resulting antagonism, stress, and persecution of the Church, both at home and abroad. As is, over the next four years, right-wing zealots - not Christian Conservatives - will likely become increasingly resistant, confrontational, and possibly violent in response to the creeping Socialism. Thus, "social unrest" may begin at the other end of the political spectrum, likely precipitating equally violent responses from the pro-Socialist masses.

And this foregoing scenario brings me to the third and final thought tonight, one which also was accompanied by the written word, this time in the form of a powerful metaphor by Hugh Nibley. I close with it:

“On the last night of a play, the whole cast and stage crew stay in the theater until the small, or not so small, hours of the morning striking the old set. If there is to be a new opening soon, as the economy of the theater requires, it is important that the new set should be in place and ready for the opening night; all the while the old set was finishing its usefulness and then being taken down, the new set was rising in splendor to be ready for the drama that would immediately follow. So it is with this world. It is not our business to tear down the old set - the agencies that do that are already hard at work and very efficient - the set is coming down all around us with spectacular effect. Our business is to see to it that the new set is well on the way for what is to come - and that means a different kind of politics, beyond the scope of the tragedy that is now playing its closing night. We are preparing for the establishment of Zion.”

Nibley, Hugh. Nibley on the Timely and the Timeless: Classic Essays of Hugh W. Nibley, Provo, Utah: Brigham Young University Religious Studies Center, 1978, p. 302.

A closer look at the ultimate preppers guide - Stand in holy places and live faithfully to God

Free Constitution courses offered online by Hillsdale College

Joel Skousen makes many excellent points in his work, titled Strategic Relocation. While we should give it serious consideration, let us not forget the single most important anchor of any real preparedness plan - God. We are so quick to get wrapped up in the myriad of possible disaster scenarios and their associated political factors that we forget to turn to God and live faithfully in God's truths.

I was reminded of the following facts, each of which holds much more sway in personal and family safety than anything man can do alone. No one is saying we should ignore Skousen. Just saying we should heed God more than man.

The author of the following wishes to remain anonymous, but what follows is of far greater value than anything secular pundits have contributed to the topic of preparedness.

"I watched Skousen’s analysis of the global conspiracy. It’s very detailed and interesting. But some things struck me as I watched.

He said he’d been 'in the business for 40 years' and 'read my advanced briefing'... Clearly, he is selling his product to the world. That’s OK on one hand, but not OK on the other hand.

Skousen sells all of his warnings and persuasions to prepare; they are free from the scriptures and the prophets, and the Holy Ghost.

Skousen suggests we 'relocate' for safety; but the Lord advises us to 'stand in holy places.' (D&C 45:32; D&C 87:8; D&C 101:22); and that He will warn us when to flee (2 Nephi 1:3; 2 Nephi 5:5; Omni 1:12-13).

When we obey the Lord, we are assured of his help through the power of his name. For example, 'Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea.' - Jacob 4:6

We still need to prepare ourselves with weapons as did the Nephites who were told, 'And again, the Lord has said that: Ye shall defend your families even unto bloodshed. Therefore for this cause were the Nephites contending with the Lamanites, to defend themselves, and their families, and their lands, their country, and their rights, and their religion.' - Alma 43:47

Shedding the blood of the wicked, when they will not repent and when they make it necessary, will redeem, will get back our land. That is a hard thing; they need not perish if they would repent.

Skousen worries people about food storage and food protection. If people obey the Lord and do the best they can with their preparations regarding food storage, we can share freely and compassionately with those in need and not want for ourselves.

There are examples in the scriptures, and even in modern history, where the power of the priesthood has extended oil and flour, and bread and fish (1 Kings 17:14,16).

'And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.' - Matthew 14:15-21

The technology of miracles is greater than the miracles of technology. Though I do not understand all things, I will rather place my trust and confidence in the Lord who has created all things and who knows all things.

Finally, I offer this quote from Harold B. Lee, regarding The Sure Word of Prophecy:

'One more matter: There are among us many loose writings predicting the calamities which are about to overtake us. Some of these have been publicized as though they were necessary to wake up the world to the horrors about to overtake us. Many of these are from sources upon which there cannot be unquestioned reliance.

Are you priesthood bearers aware of the fact that we need no such publications to be forewarned, if we were only conversant with what the scriptures have already spoken to us in plainness?

Let me give you the sure word of prophecy on which you should rely for your guide instead of these strange sources which may have great political implications.

Read the 24th chapter of Matthew — particularly that inspired version as contained in the Pearl of Great Price. [Joseph Smith—Matthew; JS-M 1:24-25]

Then read the 45th section of the Doctrine and Covenants where the Lord, not man, has documented the signs of the times. [D&C 45]

Now turn to section 101 and section 133 of the Doctrine and Covenants and hear the step-by-step recounting of events leading up to the coming of the Savior. [D&C 101; D&C 133]

Finally, turn to the promises the Lord makes to those who keep the commandments when these judgments descend upon the wicked, as set forth in the Doctrine and Covenants, section 38. [D&C 38]

Brethren, these are some of the writings with which you should concern yourselves, rather than commentaries that may come from those whose information may not be the most reliable and whose motives may be subject to question. And may I say, parenthetically, most of such writers are not handicapped by having any authentic information on their writings.' - Harold B. Lee, Conference Report, Oct. 1972, p. 128; Admonitions for the Priesthood of God, Harold B. Lee, Ensign, Jan. 1973, p. 106.

I do not condemn Skousen for his effort; he will undoubtedly contribute to the saving of many lives; but he is also contributing to the frantic and hasty actions which lead to the consternation, frustration, and confusion of many souls who might better be persuaded to listen to the prophet’s voice, and to the voice of the Spirit, and to the Spirit which accompanies the scriptures.

People can get caught up in conspiratorial details men and Satan plot and forget that the Lord is wiser than they all.

This is all an adventure we can face with good cheer. The Lord has overcome the world and his hand still guides. People will flock to the pockets of righteousness for safety and protection, where we stand in holy places, and as we uphold the Constitution all over the land.
