When I was on active duty in the Air Force, I took leave and visited Cherokee Village, Arkansas. If memory serves me correctly, it was in 2005. I rented a car in Memphis and drove to Cherokee Village. Along the way, I noticed an enormous freeway construction project designated Interstate-555.
I had never seen or heard of the I-555 Freeway. Apparently, it is intended as an upgrade to Highway 63 between Turrell, Arkansas and Jonesboro, Arkansas. It is supposed to connect I-55 to Arkansas Highway 91. The route between Turrell and Jonesboro has been designated a high priority corridor. Why?
Most triple-digit freeways are built as bypasses around large, high density metropolitan areas. There is no such area between Turrell and Jonesboro. Do the elites want high priority access through that region for their own reasons?
Further piquing my curiosity was the fact that some locals boasted about the many scientists and multimillionaires that had moved into the area over the years, including some who had a key role in the development of fiber-optic internet connectivity. The area is rural, agricultural, and riddled with cave systems. It is not a region you hear much about in news or tourism.
Why the unusually high per-capita concentration of wealthy and accomplished scientists and innovators in rural America? Aren't there popular, trendy, high-profile metropolitan areas that would be more attractive to such affluent and influential personnel?
Well, I guess it makes sense. If you want a strategically advantageous location, complete with rich soil, abundant spring-water, natural subterranean networks of caves, lime bedrock, sparse population density, and the lowest cost of living in the country, then the Ozark region is one of the best places to set up operations for SHTF scenarios.
Here is something I did not know until recently. Look up the following address on Google maps: 2700 Woods Fork Road, Highlandville, Missouri 65669.
Look at the Satellite view. Zoom in and out. Get a feel for the region. Note the route from Memphis, TN to Turrell, AR, and then from Turrell to Jonesboro, AR, and then from Jonesboro to the address below. Does I-555, a high priority corridor, come into play? Note that I-555 does not appear under the name I-555 on the map. It is the section of Arkansas Highway 63 between Turrell and Jonesboro on the map.

Read this article, titled Which Cities Americans Are Moving to - and Escaping From, about internal migrations going on within the United States. Many people seem to be moving away from the Coastal States and into the Southern States and Mountain States. In contrast, liberal professionals often congregate in the San Fransisco Bay Area. Over the long term, internal migrations will drive sweeping changes in our nation, politically and economically, and perhaps in other ways we have not yet considered. Interestingly, the primary reason behind internal migrations lately has not been financial, but cultural. People are gathering toward places where they can find like minded people. And then there is the increased likelihood of catastrophic natural disasters and strategic vulnerabilities of Coastal States to hurricanes, tsunamis, and attacks by the likes of Iran, China, North Korea, Russia, and other unsavory cesspools of hatred towards America (cesspools other than our own federal government).
